Plopped on the picturesque coast of Northern California is Switzer Farm. Lauren and Nick’s wedding in Westport was the seaside celebration of the summer filled with love, laughter, and absolutely unforgettable moments.
The weekend kicked off with the whole group meeting in Healdsburg for the rehearsal dinner at Lo + Behold right in the town center. Friday followed with a lively night at Luna Trattoria in Mendocino. And finally, the main event awaited up at Switzer Farm, where we were busy transforming this coastal gem into a whimsical wonderland.
Beauty on Set launched the day into action by ensuring that Lauren and her babes looked radiant (and Nick dapper) on their special day.
Funny fact – Lauren and Nick’s Frenchie, Izzy, came and got to hang with our Chucks! She joined for the ceremony but spent the rest of the night inside with her new bff.
The ceremony took place at the cliffs and Lara Louise’s melodies added an elegant touch to the ceremony and continued through cocktail hour. Our girl’s veil might have gotten stuck in the grasses, and I might have galloped over to rescue her like a crazy antelope, BUT we got them married and the ceremony was hysterical. These two belong together and it freaking shows.
To infuse a bit of their Midwestern roots into the celebration, I packed as many cases of Spotted Cow beer, a Wisconsin fav and only available in WI, into my carry on as I could drag across the country. It’s the little things… IYKYK.
Max Gill Design, resident flower king of Northern California (also featured ON THE COVER OF Martha Stewart – love you, boo) worked his floral magic everywhere. Hanging florals inside the tent created a breathtaking visual display, blending seamlessly with the coastal charm. Bursting with color and greenery, the tent became a focal point, framing the dance floor and setting the stage for a night of celebration. Also inside, our infamous disco clump brought infectious energy to the dance floor. Party lights washed the space in a colorful celebratory glow, while a fog machine added a touch of enchantment (even if it did choke out our sax guy).
Golden Bell Music curated the soundtrack for the evening, seamlessly combining DJ beats and live instruments. As the Mendo night fell, the dance floor transformed into a standard midwestern rager. I am telling you from experience, it ain’t over until it’s over with Wisco peeps.
For proof of the party, Alixann Loosle Photography and Killer Creations captured every single candid moment, ensuring that the magic of the day (and a lot of blackmail content) would be preserved for a lifetime.
Lauren and Nick’s wedding weekend was not your standard. They wanted everyone together for days of action and it was just that. From Healdsburg to Mendo to Westport, the crew bounced around and maximized time together and it was absolutely perfect. The quirky, magical garden party that they ended on at Switzer Farm will forever be etched in the heads and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to join.
