Guys…. I’m not even sure where to begin with this one. Lindsey and Zeb are two of the most incredibly special people I’ve ever met. Not to mention, perfect for one another. When we first started thinking about their destination wedding in Sayulita, our main task was creating an unforgettable experience for our guests and BOY OH BOY did we pull it off.

There were tacos. There was cerveza. There was love and there was happiness.

We started the week with a tacos and margaritas welcome party for everyone arriving on Monday. The next day, guests beached and bummed and had a chill day while family and wedding party met up for the rehearsal dinner festivities.

Wednesday was the wedding day. While Annamae photographed the getting ready, first look, and pre-wedding photos, we put the finishing touches on ceremony and reception location. Friends of the bride and groom, who have a home in Sayulita, built me the arch of my dreams for the ceremony, and the team at Don Pedro’s built me the reception space of my dreams. It was everything I had designed and imagined it to be… AND THEN SOME.

Guests began showing up and were welcomed with cocktails and a stunning view of the sea. Many had not been up in the space yet so it was an absolute wow-factor success. The ceremony was officiated by Lindsey’s sister, who had been suffering from touristas for a couple days – such a champ, and when they were told to kiss, a flock of birds exploded out of the trees behind them! What an emotional, amazing moment!

After ceremony, we headed into the reception. There were loads of laughs, special performances, donkey friends, a stunning sunset, thoughtful speeches, fireworks, lanterns, churros, more tacos and so much love, my heart nearly exploded. We partied into the night and ended at the casita where most of the wedding party was staying. I don’t even know how Annamae and I were walking by this time of night, but we were so filled with love and joy that it didn’t matter.

The next few days were a combination of recovery, post wedding photo shoot, clean up, party boat, the party after the after party, and just generally filled with lots of love and family and friends. Annamae and I extended our trip to take in a little more of the area and could not have been happier with that decision. Such a beautiful end to a beautiful week.
